Meet Anthony
fter growing up in Manhattan in New York City, Anthony Lewis attended Bucknell University on a full academic scholarship, earning a Varsity Football Letter in 3 separate years. He worked for both Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase, before deciding to pursue his graduate degree here at UNC Kenan-Flagler. “I came to UNC because of the people and the high academic standards,” he says.
While an MBA student, Anthony participated in the 2010 Leadership Immersion, which each year includes outdoor challenge trips, business simulations, and "Apprentice"-style team competitions. “The Leadership Immersion is a wonderful opportunity to cap off and apply all that we’ve learned,” Anthony reflects.
Anthony worked with his mentor Dr. Jim Johnson on the Atlantic Beach Redevelopment Project, which aimed to revitalize an underdeveloped community in Atlantic Beach, South Carolina. “His willingness to help me without knowing me speaks volumes about the culture here,” Anthony says.
Reflecting on his MBA experience, Anthony says, “I’m a better man and a better person for coming to UNC. It’s helped me evolve to make an impact on the world”
